Prince Andrew's Links to Alleged Chinese Spy Prompt MI5 Investigation
Dec 13, 2024, 02:36 PM
A Chinese businessman, known as H6, alleged to be a spy for China, has been banned from entering the UK on national security grounds after losing an appeal at a specialist tribunal. Described as a "close confidant" and business advisor to Prince Andrew, he had been invited to the Duke's birthday party and was authorized to act on his behalf to seek investors in China through the Eurasia Fund. He also gained access to Buckingham Palace, St James's Palace, and Windsor Castle. MI5 is investigating Prince Andrew's financial dealings with China. The Duke stated he ceased all contact with the businessman after concerns were raised by the government. Former security minister Tom Tugendhat called the situation "extremely embarrassing."
