Jul 15, 2024, 03:50 PM
A suspected Hezbollah operative has been arrested in Germany. The Lebanese man, identified as Fadel Z, was apprehended in Salzgitter on Sunday. He is accused of procuring components for drones intended for attacks against Israel. German prosecutors confirmed on Monday that the suspect is believed to be a member of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, a militant group backed by Iran. The arrest follows allegations that he was buying parts for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to be sent to Lebanon for Hezbollah's use. Hezbollah has been involved in hostilities against northern Israeli towns over the past nine months.
