Denmark’s PM Urges Allies to Allow Ukraine to Strike Inside Russia, End 'Red Lines' Debate
Sep 23, 2024, 08:15 AM
Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has called on Ukraine’s allies to stop dithering and allow Kyiv to use donated weapons for strikes inside Russia. Frederiksen emphasized the need to end discussions about 'red lines,' stating that such public debates only benefit Russia. She argued that it was a mistake to have a public discussion about red lines during the war, as it gives the Russians a strategic advantage. Frederiksen also mentioned that Denmark does not set limits on aid as long as Ukraine complies with international law. She noted that the most important 'red line' was already crossed by the Kremlin in February 2022.
