Supreme Court Criticizes NTA, Maintains No Retest Judgment for NEET-UG 2024
Aug 2, 2024, 05:52 AM
The Supreme Court of India has ruled that there was no systemic breach in the conduct of the NEET-UG 2024 exam, despite issues related to the National Testing Agency (NTA). The court criticized the NTA for its inconsistent handling of the exam, which included giving wrong question papers to over 1500 students, subsequently awarding grace marks, and then calling for a retest. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud emphasized that such 'flip-flops' do not serve the interests of students and called for a restructuring of the entire process to avoid similar issues in the future. The court maintained its 'no retest' judgment in the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case.
