Conspiracy to Attack Protesting Kolkata Doctors Uncovered, CPI(M) Leader Arrested
Sep 14, 2024, 07:44 AM
A conspiracy to attack protesting junior doctors in Kolkata has been uncovered, leading to the arrest of two individuals, including CPI(M) leader Kalatan Dasgupta. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has alleged that opposition political forces orchestrated the plot to defame West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Senior TMC leader Kunal Ghosh released an audio clip purportedly revealing the conspiracy. Bidhannagar DCP Aneesh Sarkar confirmed that professional criminals were planning the attack and that CCTV has been installed at Swasthya Bhavan for security. The arrests followed the release of the audio clip, which played a crucial role in preventing the attack. BJP Leader Rahul Sinha has also commented on the situation.
