McDavid Becomes Fourth-Fastest to 1,000 Points as Oilers Beat Predators 3-2 in OT
Nov 15, 2024, 03:11 AM
Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers reached his 1,000th NHL career point on November 14, 2024, becoming the 99th player to achieve the milestone. At 27 years and 306 days old, McDavid is the fourth-youngest and fourth-fastest player in NHL history to reach 1,000 points, accomplishing this feat in just 659 games. His 1,000th point was a goal assisted by Leon Draisaitl during the second period against the Nashville Predators, tying the game at 1-1. Darnell Nurse, who had a two-goal, three-point game, scored the overtime winner with an assist from McDavid, leading the Oilers to a 3-2 victory. This achievement further cements McDavid's status among the league's elite players.
