Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reached a divorce settlement, concluding an eight-year legal battle that began when Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. The settlement was confirmed by Jolie's lawyer, James Simon, who stated that Jolie has been focused on finding peace and healing for their family since the process started. Despite the settlement, the couple remains entangled in a dispute over their French winery, Chateau Miraval. The divorce marks the end of a relationship that began in 2005 and resulted in six children, four of whom have since become adults. The terms of the divorce agreement have not been disclosed publicly. Jolie reportedly walked away from the divorce $80 million richer.
