Trump Named Time's Person of the Year Again, Rings NYSE Bell; Doesn't Rule Out War with Iran
Dec 12, 2024, 09:18 PM
On Thursday, President-elect Donald Trump was named Time magazine's Person of the Year for the second time. To commemorate the honor, Trump rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), becoming the first president since Ronald Reagan to do so. In an interview with Time magazine, Trump did not rule out the possibility of war with Iran during his upcoming term, stating that "anything can happen." He also criticized the Ukrainian president's decision to strike Russia with U.S. missiles, calling it a "foolish decision" and a "major escalation." Trump announced plans to lower the corporate tax rate to 21%.
