Children of Russian Sleeper Agents Learn True Identity During Biggest Swap Since Cold War
Aug 2, 2024, 07:45 PM
The children of Russian sleeper agents Anna and Artem Dultsev, who were returned to Russia as part of a prisoner exchange on Thursday, only learned they were Russian when their plane took off from Ankara for Moscow. The children, who do not speak Russian, were greeted by President Vladimir Putin in Spanish upon their arrival. The Dultsevs had been living undercover in Slovenia, posing as Argentinian citizens. This exchange marks the biggest East-West prisoner swap since the Cold War, according to Kremlin spokesman Peskov.
