Celestia Launches Lemongrass Upgrade with 5 CIPs, Hits 57% Data Availability Market Share

Celestia has achieved a significant milestone with the successful implementation of its first major upgrade, Lemongrass. The upgrade includes several network improvements such as interchain accounts, faster bridging, and anti-spam measures, incorporating five total CIPs. Celestia's data availability market share has reached a new all-time high of 57% relative to Ethereum, although it generated only $243 or 1% of the fees compared to Ethereum. Celestia is roughly 5x cheaper to post to than Ethereum blobs and is currently utilizing 10% of its capacity. Lemongrass is expected to enhance the modular ecosystem, with Conduit rollups already integrated and Stride planning to switch to a more secure ICA-based approach on Celestia for liquid staking.
