Amazon Settles OSHA Claims for $145,000, Agrees to New Safety Measures for Warehouse Working Conditions
Dec 19, 2024, 11:21 PM
Amazon has agreed to implement new safety measures across all of its U.S. facilities as part of a settlement with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This settlement addresses claims that the company failed to adequately prevent workers from developing back problems and other ergonomic injuries. As part of the agreement, Amazon will also pay $145,000 to OSHA. The settlement aims to enhance protections for employees against hazardous conditions that can lead to serious lower back and musculoskeletal disorders at Amazon warehouses.
