VisitAmazon Begins Drone Deliveries in Phoenix Metro Area with FAA-Approved MK30 Drones
Nov 5, 2024, 05:36 PM
Amazon has begun drone deliveries in the Phoenix metro area, starting November 5, 2024. The company received FAA approval to operate its newer, smaller MK30 delivery drones, which can fly beyond the visual line of sight of pilots and operate in light rain. These drones are quieter and aim to enhance Amazon's logistics network. The service is initially available to customers near Amazon's same-day delivery site in Tolleson, Arizona, and will expand as weather conditions permit. Lucky Phoenix residents can now get certain products delivered by drone.
