Google announced at CES 2025 that it will integrate its Gemini AI assistant into Google TV devices, enhancing user interaction with more natural voice commands and deeper YouTube integration. The update, set to roll out later in 2025, will allow users to engage with their TVs using everyday language, without the need to start commands with 'Hey Google.' Examples of the feature's capabilities include summarizing live news about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's resignation and events on Capitol Hill, marking Google's first dedicated AI news product on TVs.
