Beijing to Expand Autonomous Driving Area to 3,000 sq km by Friday

Beijing plans to significantly expand its high-level autonomous driving demonstration area to approximately 3,000 square kilometers between the fourth and sixth ring roads. This expansion will more than double the size of the city's six urban districts, according to an official statement made at the 2024 World Intelligent Conference on Friday. The initiative aims to bolster the city's modernization and technological advancements in autonomous driving.
