UFC $375 Million Antitrust Settlement Preliminarily Approved; $240 to $260 Million for Zuffa Fighters (2010-2017)
Oct 22, 2024, 04:29 PM
A U.S. District Court in Las Vegas has preliminarily approved a $375 million settlement in an antitrust lawsuit against the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The lawsuit, which dates back to 2014, alleged that the UFC suppressed fighter wages. The settlement is expected to provide approximately $240 to $260 million to Zuffa fighters for the period between December 2010 and June 2017. The court's decision, made by Judge Richard Boulware, comes after a hearing to evaluate the settlement agreement. The total amount agreed upon was $260 million, although the final payout may be affected by unclear lawyer costs.
