PM Modi Gifts Four BHISHM Cubes to Ukraine for Medical Aid
Aug 23, 2024, 01:03 PM
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gifted four portable medical units, known as BHISHM Cubes, to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. These cubes, part of the Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita & Maitri, are state-of-the-art mobile hospitals designed for rapid deployment in disaster zones. Each cube contains essential medicines and equipment for the first line of care and emergency medical situations, including surgical tools for basic operations. The BHISHM Cubes can be air-dropped and assembled in just 12 minutes to provide medical facilities for up to 200 people. This initiative underscores India's commitment to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, enhancing its healthcare capabilities amidst ongoing challenges.
