May 23, 2024, 10:59 AM
Italian teenager Carlo Acutis, who died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15, is set to be declared a Catholic saint. Pope Francis has attributed a second miracle to Acutis, clearing the way for his canonization. Known as 'God's influencer' and the 'patron of the internet,' Acutis used his computer skills to document Eucharistic miracles, help the poor, and spread the Catholic faith. He also loved the Philippines. The Vatican confirmed the sainthood on May 23, 2024.
