Ukraine Strikes Russian Regions With 200 Drones and 15 ATACMS, Targeting Chemical Plants in Kazan and Bryansk
Jan 13, 2025, 11:51 PM
Ukraine launched a significant overnight attack on multiple Russian regions, deploying over 200 drones and 15 US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles. The assault targeted key industrial sites, including a chemical plant in Kazan, where a liquefied gas storage area was hit, causing a fire. In the Bryansk region, a chemical plant producing gunpowder and explosives was struck, with footage showing explosions at the site. The attack also affected the Saratov region, damaging an industrial facility in Engels, and led to the suspension of school activities in both Saratov and Engels due to the drone attacks. No casualties were reported. Additionally, the Tula region and the city of Kazan were among the main areas hit, with Russian defenses managing to intercept some of the incoming drones and missiles. The strikes come amid heightened tensions, with no immediate comment from Kyiv or the Russian defense ministry.
