Russian Missile Attack Hits Kyiv Children's Hospital, Killing 31 in 40-Missile Barrage
Jul 8, 2024, 10:47 AM
A major Russian missile attack struck multiple Ukrainian cities on July 8, 2024, resulting in significant casualties and damage. In Kyiv, the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, the largest children's medical center in Ukraine, was severely damaged by at least one missile. The hospital, which treats over 20,000 children annually, is also a cancer hospital. The attack on the hospital has left children trapped under rubble and caused multiple fatalities and injuries. The missile barrage, which involved 40 missiles in a rare daytime attack, killed at least 31 people and injured almost 130 across the country. Emergency services and local residents are working to clear debris and rescue those affected.
