IDF Uncovers Hamas Weapons Cache in Gaza City UNRWA HQ Amid Pledging Conference
Jul 12, 2024, 12:08 PM
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered significant evidence of Hamas using UNRWA facilities in Gaza City for terrorist activities. During a recent operation, IDF troops found a variety of military-grade weapons, including tactical drones, rockets, machine guns, mortars, explosives, and grenades, inside the UNRWA headquarters. The facility was also used as a command center and war room by Hamas and Islamic Jihad. This discovery has led to calls from various quarters to defund UNRWA, accusing it of being complicit in terrorist activities. Notably, the IDF's Commando Brigade located a UAV inside the headquarters, further implicating UNRWA in aiding terrorist groups. The findings come as the UNRWA Pledging Conference opens in New York, raising questions about continued international funding for the organization. Critics have also highlighted that UNRWA schools educate Palestinian children to become 'martyrs' and that UNRWA supplies are used to build terror tunnels. There are also allegations that UNRWA staff participated in the October 7 atrocities.
