An Iraqi court has sentenced Asma Fawzi Muhammad Al-Qubaisi, a wife of the late ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, to death by hanging. The court found her guilty of crimes against humanity, genocide against the Yazidi people, and detaining Yazidi women as slaves in her home. The verdict was handed down in Baghdad's Kara neighborhood on Wednesday. The Iraqi judiciary confirmed the sentence, highlighting her involvement with the Islamic State group and her role in the atrocities committed against the Yazidi community. The polygamous Baghdadi's wife was brought back to Iraq for the trial.
