The Hague Court Convicts Two Pakistanis for Incitement to Kill Geert Wilders, Sentences Total 18 Years
Sep 9, 2024, 04:44 PM
Two Pakistani nationals, Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi and Mullah Muhammad Jalali, have been convicted by a Dutch court for incitement to kill far-right Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders. The court in The Hague sentenced the men in absentia to a combined 18 years in prison. Jalali, a Pakistani religious leader, received a 14-year sentence, while Rizvi, the head of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, was also convicted. Both men had publicly called for Wilders' assassination, and they are believed to be abroad, making it unlikely they will serve their sentences.
