Taliban Leader Orders Blocking of Windows Overlooking Women's Areas to Prevent 'Obscene Acts'

Taliban supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada has issued a five-article decree banning the construction of windows in residential buildings that overlook areas where women are present, such as kitchens and courtyards. The decree, published by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, requires property owners to block existing windows that face neighboring homes, aiming to protect women's privacy and prevent potential 'obscene acts' that may arise from men observing women in domestic spaces. Authorities have warned that failure to comply with the directive may result in enforcement actions.
