The New South Wales (NSW) government in Australia will invest $69 million AUD to equip over 5,000 Rural Fire Services vehicles with SpaceX's Starlink technology over the next three years. This initiative aims to enhance emergency vehicle connectivity, allowing for live streaming of video footage from fires across the state. The project, known as the $11.3 million VaaN project, will also enable the use of radios and mobile phones at any time, significantly improving communication capabilities during emergencies. According to a report from IT News, the Australian government and Starlink are finalizing the deal.
