Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Sex Trafficking Trial Set for May 2025; Faces Possible Additional Charges
Oct 10, 2024, 05:16 PM
Hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs is set to stand trial on May 5, 2025, facing federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian in New York set the trial date after Combs' defense team requested a trial in April or May 2025, asserting his right to a speedy trial. Combs has pleaded not guilty and is currently being held without bail following an unsuccessful appeal for pretrial release in the Southern District of New York. His lawyers have accused federal authorities, specifically the Department of Homeland Security, of leaking evidence to the media, including surveillance footage allegedly showing Combs assaulting Cassie Ventura. Combs appeared at a status hearing, where prosecutors indicated that additional charges could be forthcoming.
