The body of Ali Mohamed Kibao, a senior Tanzanian opposition figure who was abducted by armed men, has been found on the outskirts of the commercial capital Dar es Salaam. Postmortem results revealed that Kibao was brutally beaten and had acid poured on his face, according to Chadema party lawyers present during the examination. Kibao, affiliated with the opposition party Chadema, was taken from a bus prior to his death. His abduction and subsequent murder have raised serious concerns about political violence in Tanzania.
