Djibouti's Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf has announced a proposal aimed at resolving the ongoing dispute between Somalia and Ethiopia. The proposal includes granting Ethiopia access to the sea and a hundred percentage port management of a new port, potentially the Port of Tojorah. This move is intended to de-escalate regional tensions and prevent Somaliland from gaining recognition, thereby maintaining Djibouti's monopoly over Ethiopian trade.
