USPS to Raise First-Class Postage Prices, Currently 73 Cents, Five Times Over Next Three Years
Sep 27, 2024, 07:00 PM
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has announced plans to increase the price of First-Class postage, which currently costs 73 cents, five times over the next three years. The price hikes will begin in July 2025, with additional increases scheduled every January and July through the end of 2027. USPS stated that the price increases are an effort to recoup its losses over the last decade. USPS submitted the plan to the Postal Regulatory Commission.
