Court Approves Diamond Sports Rebrand of Bally Sports to FanDuel, Including Detroit
Oct 16, 2024, 07:55 PM
Diamond Sports Group, the bankrupt sports broadcaster, has reached a naming rights agreement with FanDuel to rebrand its Bally Sports regional sports networks. The rebranding is set to take place next week, pending court approval. The agreement will see FanDuel potentially owning up to 10% of the new RSN company and includes the integration of FanDuel TV content into the regional sports networks. The deal, which is aimed at increasing revenue and aiding Diamond Sports' exit from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, will last until April 30. The rebranding will not affect customers or channel content, but the graphics will change. The court has granted approval for the rebrand, including Bally Sports Detroit.
