Jun 10, 2024, 04:27 PM
A military aircraft carrying Malawi's Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine other passengers has gone missing. The aircraft, operated by the Malawi Defense Force, disappeared from radar shortly after departing from the capital, Lilongwe, on Monday morning. The plane failed to make its scheduled landing at Mzuzu International Airport. Authorities have launched an immediate search and rescue operation, as ordered by President Lazarus Chakwera. Efforts to trace the aircraft have so far been unsuccessful, and the whereabouts of all onboard remain unknown.
