Judge Moskowitz Dismisses Lawsuit Against Arizona's Prop 140 Nonpartisan Primaries Measure
Sep 19, 2024, 05:45 PM
Judge Moskowitz has dismissed a lawsuit challenging Arizona's Proposition 140, which seeks to establish nonpartisan primaries. The judge ruled that it was too late to remove the measure from the ballot as ballots have already been printed and are being sent to voters. The judge also found the method used to determine the validity of petition signatures to be unconstitutional. The head of the Arizona Fair Elections Coalition, which brought the challenge, has vowed to appeal to the Supreme Court. The ruling allows Arizona voters to decide on the measure in the upcoming election.
