The fire is being managed under a unified command between San Bernardino National Forest and CAL FIRE, with over 628 personnel assigned to the effort. Extreme heat, with temperatures reaching near 110°F, and strong winds have exacerbated the situation, leading to unhealthy air quality in nearby areas.
