Temple University Fires Head Football Coach Stan Drayton, Names Everett Withers Interim
Nov 17, 2024, 04:15 PM
Temple University has fired head football coach Stan Drayton after nearly three seasons. Drayton, who had a record of 9-25 during his tenure, struggled to achieve success with the Owls, securing only four wins in the American Athletic Conference. Defensive coordinator Everett Withers has been named interim head coach for the remainder of the season. The decision comes after Temple's recent victory over Florida Atlantic University. Athletic Director Arthur Johnson and Drayton jointly announced the departure in a press release on Sunday.
