Nvidia Corp. reported third-quarter earnings that surpassed analyst expectations, driven by continued strong demand for its artificial intelligence (AI) chips. The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.81, exceeding the consensus estimate of $0.75. Revenue surged 94% year-over-year to $35.1 billion, beating forecasts of $33.1 billion. Data center revenue, a key segment for Nvidia, reached a record $30.8 billion, up 112% from a year ago and above the estimated $29.14 billion. Gaming revenue also grew to $3.3 billion, up 15% year-over-year. Nvidia's gross margin remained strong at 75%. CEO Jensen Huang stated, "The age of AI is in full steam." For the fourth quarter, the company projected revenue of $37.5 billion, plus or minus 2%, slightly ahead of analysts' expectations of $37.1 billion, and forecasted gross margins between 73% and 74%. The company noted that demand for its next-generation Blackwell chips is expected to exceed supply for several quarters. Despite the strong results, Nvidia's shares fell in after-hours trading.
