Oct 25, 2024, 05:41 AM
Japanese investment firm Metaplanet Inc. has raised approximately 10 billion yen ($66 million) through a stock acquisition rights exercise to enhance its Bitcoin investments. The company now holds 861 Bitcoins and has adopted MicroStrategy's 'BTC Yield' metric to improve shareholder transparency regarding its Bitcoin purchases. This metric tracks the ratio of Bitcoin holdings to fully diluted shares and has reportedly increased Metaplanet's yield from 41.7% to 116%. The adoption of this metric is aimed at boosting shareholder value and providing clearer insights into the impact of Bitcoin on returns.
