Kamala Harris Leads Trump 49% to 44% in NBC Poll, 52% to 48% in CBS Poll

Recent national polls indicate that Vice President Kamala Harris is leading former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race. According to a new NBC News poll, Harris has garnered 49% of the vote compared to Trump's 44%, marking a significant shift since the last poll in August where Trump led by 2 points. Harris' favorability has surged by 16 points since July, the largest increase for any politician in NBC News polling since then-President George W. Bush's post-9/11 surge. Additionally, a CBS News poll shows Harris with 52% and Trump with 48%. Harris leads among Black voters 85-7 and among voters aged 18-34 by 57-34. This increase in popularity and Democratic enthusiasm has reshuffled the 2024 presidential contest. A recent debate on Sept. 10 saw 29% of respondents more likely to support Harris, 12% more likely to support Trump, and 57% indicating no difference.
