Nov 30, 2024, 11:08 PM
Jalen Milroe, the quarterback for Alabama, had a standout performance in the recent Iron Bowl against Auburn, scoring a total of three rushing touchdowns. This achievement marks his 20th rushing touchdown of the season, placing him in sole possession of fourth place for the most rushing touchdowns in a single season by an Alabama player, surpassing Shaun Alexander, who had 19. Milroe's rushing touchdowns put him behind only Derrick Henry (28), Najee Harris (26), and Trent Richardson (21) in the all-time rankings. In addition to his rushing success, Milroe completed 13 of 19 passes for 219 yards. Over two games against Auburn, he has thrown for 515 yards and rushed for 211 yards, averaging 6.03 yards per carry. Notably, Milroe is the first Alabama quarterback to rush for over 100 yards in the Iron Bowl on two occasions, having previously rushed for 107 yards last year, a feat only matched once before by Jeff Rutledge in 1977.
