Israel Signs $5.2 Billion Deal for 25 Boeing F-15IA Jets
Nov 7, 2024, 10:35 AM
Israel has signed a $5.2 billion agreement with Boeing to acquire 25 advanced F-15IA fighter jets, with an option for an additional 25 aircraft. The deal was signed on Wednesday by the Israeli Defense Ministry and is financed through U.S. military aid as part of a broader aid package approved by the U.S. administration and Congress earlier this year. The F-15IA, an Israeli variant of the advanced F-15EX, features enhanced range, greater payload capacity, and Israeli-integrated weapon systems. Delivery of the jets is expected to begin in 2031 in batches of 4-6 aircraft annually.
