Rescue Teams Evacuate 33 People in Kullu's Malana Dam After Cloudburst

In Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, a significant rescue operation was conducted following a cloudburst that caused the water level to rise at the Malana dam site. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with home guards and local personnel, successfully rescued 29 people trapped in the Malana Power Project Powerhouse and four individuals from a tunnel at the dam site. District Commissioner Torul S Raveesh and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur confirmed the successful evacuation of all trapped individuals, including 37 employees. The joint effort involved multiple rescue teams working diligently to ensure the safety of the workers. In the district, seven people were affected by the cloudburst.
