IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi announced that the Israeli military is increasing its readiness for the next stage of fighting in the north. This announcement follows a deadly Hezbollah rocket attack on Majdal Shams. Halevi made this statement last night during a meeting with Shaykh Mowafaq Ṭarīf, the leader of the Druze Community in Northern Israel.
