Elon Musk Becomes Sole Donor of Pro-Trump PAC with $75 Million Contribution
Oct 16, 2024, 02:56 AM
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has donated approximately $75 million to America PAC, a pro-Donald Trump super political action committee, according to new filings with the Federal Election Commission. The contributions, made between July and September, consisted of $15 million in July, $30 million in August, and another $30 million in September. Musk was the sole donor to the PAC during this period, accounting for all the funds it received. His donations make him one of the largest Republican donors in the 2024 election cycle and underscore his growing influence in Republican politics ahead of the November 5 presidential election. America PAC, founded by Musk in May, supports Trump's presidential campaign and opposes Vice President Kamala Harris. The PAC promotes conservative values such as secure borders, sensible spending, self-protection, and safe cities. Musk's financial backing is expected to bolster Trump's ground game and voter outreach efforts in key battleground states.
