Trump Recovering After 2 cm-Wide Gunshot Wound to Right Ear in Assassination Attempt
Jul 20, 2024, 08:30 PM
Former President Donald Trump is recovering after sustaining a gunshot wound to his right ear during an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ronny Jackson, Trump's former White House physician, confirmed that the bullet created a 2 cm-wide wound extending down the cartilaginous surface of the ear. The bullet narrowly missed entering Trump's head by less than a quarter of an inch. Despite initial significant bleeding and swelling, no sutures were required. Dr. Jackson has been treating Trump daily and reports that he is healing well, though there is still intermittent bleeding. Staff at Butler Memorial performed a CT scan of Trump's head.
