Boeing Secures $4.9B Order for 80 737 Max Jets from Avia Solutions
Nov 12, 2024, 04:12 PM
Boeing has secured a significant order from Avia Solutions Group for up to 80 Boeing 737 Max jets. This order includes an initial commitment for 40 jets, valued at approximately $2.17 billion, with an option for an additional 40 jets. The total deal is valued at $4.9 billion. This marks Boeing's first major order following a seven-week strike by its largest union, which significantly impacted the company's production and delivery schedules. In October, Boeing delivered only 14 commercial jets, the lowest monthly total since November 2020, due to the strike. The company reported 335 net orders and 305 aircraft deliveries through October 31, including 234 737 MAX jets. Boeing has warned that it will take several weeks to fully resume production.
