In Potential Finale, Aaron Rodgers Throws 500th TD Pass to Conklin, Giving Jets 7-6 Lead Over Dolphins
Jan 5, 2025, 10:26 PM
In what may be his final NFL game, Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the New York Jets, threw his 500th career regular-season touchdown pass during a game against the Miami Dolphins on January 5, 2025. Rodgers became the fifth quarterback in NFL history to reach this milestone, joining Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571), Peyton Manning (539), and Brett Favre (508). The historic 5-yard touchdown pass was caught by tight end Tyler Conklin, who handed the ball to Rodgers as the entire offense celebrated in the end zone. Rodgers ensured the ball was preserved, and it was marked with a commemorative "500th passing TD" sticker. With this latest touchdown, Rodgers has now thrown at least 25 touchdown passes in 14 seasons, tying him for third-most seasons with 25 or more passing touchdowns in NFL history. He achieved the 500-touchdown milestone in his 248th career game, making him the second-fastest player to reach the mark, behind only Peyton Manning, who did it in 244 games. The touchdown gave the Jets a 7-6 lead with 7:57 remaining in the second quarter.
