VisitRussian Military Mistakenly Targets Inflatable M270 Decoy
Aug 18, 2024, 01:17 PM
The Russian military recently claimed to have destroyed a Ukrainian M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). However, it has been confirmed that the target was actually an inflatable decoy. The incident occurred after the Russians tracked what they believed to be an M270 that had fired a salvo of Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) missiles. They lost sight of the vehicle and later attacked what turned out to be a decoy several kilometers from the original firing position. This event highlights the use of deception tactics in modern warfare.
