Iranian officials have strongly condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was a guest in Tehran. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian called the act a grave mistake by Israel and stated it violated international laws. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to respond decisively at an appropriate time and place. IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami emphasized that Israel would receive a devastating response for the assassination. The Iranian government has urged the international community to condemn the act, asserting that the response will be severe and calculated. Qalibaf and the Jordanian FM were also involved in discussions regarding the incident.
