Polish State Firm Investigated Over Parts in Iranian Shahed-136 Drones Used in Ukraine
Jul 18, 2024, 01:15 PM
A Polish state-owned company is under investigation for allegedly selling parts used in Iranian combat drones, according to a report by Polish private broadcaster Radio Zet. The investigation, which has been ongoing since 2022, focuses on how components from Poland ended up in Iranian Shahed-136 drones, which have been used by Russian forces in attacks against Ukraine. The report indicates that the parts, including pumps, were adapted for use in Iranian kamikaze UAVs. Reverse engineering of these drones has revealed the presence of European-made components. The Polish company involved has acknowledged the investigation.
