Disney+ has officially expanded its paid sharing program globally, including in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, as part of a broad password-sharing crackdown. The new policy allows users to share their accounts with family members or friends for an additional fee. In the U.S., the cost for adding an extra member is $6.99 per month for a Basic subscription and $9.99 per month for a Premium subscription. This move follows similar initiatives by other streaming services like Netflix and aims to convert password-borrowers into paying customers. Disney CEO Bob Iger had previously announced the company's intention to implement this change. The Extra Member Option allows users to add someone outside their household.
