CNN Releases Videos Showing Execution of Six Ukrainian POWs by Russian Forces Near Pokrovsk and Robotyne
Sep 6, 2024, 11:01 AM
CNN has published video footage showing Russian forces executing surrendering Ukrainian soldiers near Pokrovsk and Robotyne. The first video was filmed in late August near Pokrovsk, while the second was recorded in May near Robotyne. Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Kostin, reported that 28 similar cases are under investigation. Ukrainian ombudsman Lubinets plans to appeal to the UN and the Red Cross regarding these incidents. The videos depict unarmed prisoners being brutally shot after brief conversations. Ukrainian defense intelligence sources provided CNN with a list of 15 cases since November, supported by drone video or audio intercepts, in which Ukrainian troops were killed by Russians on the front lines rather than being taken prisoner. In total, six Ukrainian soldiers were shot. In one video, an Asian Russian soldier claimed they came to 'liberate this land.'
