Japanese Foreign Minister Calls for Safety Measures After Child's Stabbing Death in Shenzhen

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa has expressed deep regret over the death of a Japanese schoolchild following a stabbing attack in Shenzhen, China. Kamikawa has strongly requested that China take all possible measures to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals. The Japanese embassy in China has called for increased security measures in response to the incident. Chinese Foreign Minister has mourned the passing of the boy, stressing that the stabbing is an individual case. On September 19, Kamikawa held an extraordinary press conference regarding the incident. A memorial was held in Tokyo by Chinese residents to honor the boy.
